This is a very decorative Georgian Chinoiserie Black Lacquered corner cabinet with raised gilding central floral display with flying birds and standing stage. There is additional decorative painted details which is very pale and faded.
Condition: The cabinet has its age related issues. The cabinet has been subjected to periods of heat which shows in some area of the surface as crackle creasing but does not affect the visual look or use of the cabinet.
There is evidence of professional conservation and restoration to both the back of the cabinet and to the decorative panel which has been cleaned to remove thick heavy layers of soot and tobacco.
